MoonAudio was founded in 1985 by Christopher Moon to deliver the best sounding high-end audio equipment at the best price to the discriminating listener. Our roots began in the recording studio at MoonSound in Minneapolis in the 1970's where Moon helped create the "Minneapolis Sound" by recording and producing Prince, Andre Cymone, Morris Day, Alexander O'Neal, Dez Dickerson, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis amongst numerous others.

From there Moon wrote and produced world theme music for companies such as Northwest Airlines, music scores for films and television and numerous original compositions for Platinum and Grammy Award winning recording artists. Years were spent in the studio producing and engineering a wide range of music for clients all over the world - and all this time, Moon listened.
He listened to music ... hour after hour, day after day, year after year.

With over 30,000 hours in studio production and engineering and over 10 million records co-authored, Moon Audio was born in the recording studio control room - the very place where music is made and mixed.
